I planted two celery plants so picked stalks as I needed them and they lasted for a year. I let some go to seed so lots more little ones to plant. An old Tupperware celery container which I've had for ages is ideal for keeping bought celery fresh. Excelent tips and looking forward to trying your recipe.

Hi Jill, you could add Celery soup to the list. I have a recipe to which you are supposed to add cream but we find it creamy enough without and it is delicious. We are never without celery in our fridge. By the way I made your meatloaf with tomato topping the other day, used fresh not canned as I had a lot sitting in the bowl needing to be used. That recipe has been in my file for several years, as they say, a keeper. Great post again today 🤗

Thanks, good tip. I always look at recipes for celery soup and go 'naah' to the cream, but shall try it without.
