Sticky rice & mango is the best! I always buy a whole tray, and use up the overripe ones by making Jamie Oliver's mango chutney, very easy and yum and lasts until next summer :)

Rice pudding experiences such bad press, but it's so delicious. I'm glad my upbringing didn't ruin it for me. Just a step away though, are wonderful memories of inhaling Mango & sticky rice with roasted peanuts or sesame seeds in Hua Hin, too many years ago. 😋

I had what I call a win fail a week ago after ended up with half a box of the critters.

I decided to make frozen daquiri’s, remember them, with a mix of some old white and gold rum I found in the back of the cupboard, some limes (I’ll miss them too) sugar, water, ice and the fresh mangos. I ended up with a delicious mix that was too thick to pass through a ridiculously thick straw and took ages to reach drinking consistency.

Meanwhile, I started eating sneaky teaspoonfuls of the mango bliss until I realised it was 11:00 in the morning!

Hence, I’m now working on a non-alcoholic mango sorbet much like your banana ice cream with the remaining flesh that I froze.

Meanwhile, I better have another teaspoon of my delicious fail.

I was going to suggest mango frozen yoghurt but when I checked the source of the recipe that I have used for years - it was Jill Dupleix! Great way to use the box of mangoes and super easy with an ice cream machine.

Hi Jill, I think we all hang out for Mango season, each having our favourite one to buy. For me it is breakfast and my husband gets the pip lol!, I have also made Mangomisu, and the only other thing I use them for is with one of our favourite salads, Salmon, Prawns, Butter Lettuce, Mango and Avocado, it is supposed to have Watercress and cress to top it off, but we prefer it with just the Marie Rose dressing
